With William Nganje and Nicholas Lee "Identification of the Attributes of an Effective, Private-Sector Funded, State-Branding Program," Grant-sponsored research; data for first stage has been collected. Anticipated submission to Agribusiness fall 2008.
With Christopher Wharton "The Role of Community Supported Agriculture: Talking with Current, Former, and Nonmembers," First stage in a much larger stream of research designed to explore the role of CSA's in the food system: their effect on social values, their environmental and economic impact, and their relation to attitudes regarding food safety and security. Focus groups and expert interviews have been conducted.
With William Nganje, Nancy Childs and Jill Maher "Consumers' Perceptions of risk: The case for Mercury-in-Fish Warning Disclosures," Data has been collected. Anticipated submission 2008-2009 academic year.

AGB 445 - Food Retailing
Critical examination of trends, problems and management functions of food retail managers across various retail institutions. Emphasizes the biological nature of food products and the dietary preferences of consumers.
AGB 494 - Special Topics
Covers topics of immediate or special interest to a faculty member and students.
AGB 499 - Individualized Instruction
Provides an opportunity for original study or investigation in the major or field of specialization on an individual and more autonomous basis. Neither a substitute for a catalog course nor a means of taking a catalog course on an individual basis. Requires application well in advance of regular registration with the student's advisor, the advisor's signature, and approval by both the instructor with whom the student will work and the chair of the department offering the course.
